Five Things to Do in the Seacoast This Week

August summer days are at their peak and excellent for families in the Seacoast. Summer produce takes center stage this week with festivals to celebrate August peaches and tomatoes, while there is an ample amount of fun taking place at the beach with a week full of activities for the kids. Enjoy those warm summer evenings with a couple of outdoor performances that are perfect for the whole family. Here are Macaroni KID Seacoast's five picks for things to do this week. 

1. 15th Annual Hampton Beach Children's Festival




Enjoy the remainder of of the week at the Children's Festival at Hampton Beach. Each day has different events and activities taking place, and the week will end with a costume parade. Aug 17th -18th, 10 am 


2. Peach Festival



"Millions of peaches, peaches for me!" Although the frost this February have farms all over the Northeast with lost peach crops this year, Applecrest Farm Orchards is still celebrating one of summer's most delicious bounties. There will be plenty of fun with pick-your-own blueberries, raspberries, apples and flowers, as well as peach treats! Aug 19th - 20th, 11 am - 3 pm


3. Tomato Festival 



While peaches may be the produce we think of for end of summer, lets not forget the tomatoes! And plenty of them! Heron Pond Farm is bringing back its annual Tomato Fest that will be filled with music, ice cream, raffles and activities for the whole family. Aug 20th 12 pm - 4 pm 


4. Safe Haven Ballet Presents Beauty and the Beast



The classic Beauty and the Beast will come to life at Prescott Park Arts Festival! Safe Haven Ballet will perform two shows this weekend. Aug 19th, 7 pm & Aug 20th 4 pm

5. Bandstand Summer Concert Series



Enjoy some live music at the North Hampton Bandstand! This week features a Beatles themed show, "All Together Now". Aug 23rd, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
