Happy Independence Day! After you get your fill of barbecues and fireworks, head to these fantastic events happening in the Seacoast. Here are Macaroni KID Seacoast’s picks for five things to with your family this week.

1. Babe & Bunyan's Big Adventure






Based on the classic folktale of Paul Bunyan and his Blue Ox, this musical from Upside Arts is performed by kids attending their summer camp. This show has several showtimes at the New Hampshire Theatre Project in Portsmouth.  (July 5th, 10 am & 1 pm)


2. Free Viewing Opportunities at the UNH Observatory






Do some stargazing in Durham at UNH’s Observatory for free every third Saturday this summer. (July 6th, 9 pm - 11 pm)


3. Monday Movie Night









Choose between two fun venues for Monday night’s outdoor movie…Prescott Park Arts Festival in downtown Portsmouth or Hampton Beach. (June 8th, 8:30 pm) 


4. Tuesdays on the Terrace: Kids Night with Sages Entertainment and DJ Skooch



It’s Kids Night at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth with live music, magic and STEAM fun  (July 9th, 5:30 - 7 pm)


5. Family Garden Fun






Discover the fun of gardening at this hands-on event at Heron Pond Farm. (July 11th, 9 - 10:30 am)
