Five Things to Do in the Seacoast This Weekend

What a weekend coming up in the Seacoast! Autumn is getting into full swing with some fun fall festivals happening. We also have some local Seacoast businesses celebrating birthdays, so there are parties to attend. Add a dash of fairy magic, some thrilling trucks and exciting animal encounters, and you've got yourself a full weekend! Here are Macaroni KID Seacoast's five (plus) picks for things to do this weekend in the Seacoast.

1. BioBlitz!    



Join the team at Seacoast Science Center for their annual BioBlitz! event where you can find and identify as many different species as possible! This "scavenger hunt" runs all day with a schedule of events available. Sept 24th, 6:30 am - 4 pm


2. Touch-a-Truck (or Two) Events    



If you have some truck-loving kiddos, then this weekend nails it! Touch-a-Truck is happening at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth on Saturday. There will be a huge variety of trucks of all kinds, as well as kid's activities, raffles, food vendors and more. On Sunday, Touch a Tractor takes place at Coppal House Farm in Lee with farm vehicles ready for you to explore. Touch-a-Truck - Sept 23rd, 9 am - 1 pm & Touch a Tractor - Sept 24th, 10 am - 2 pm


3. Birthday Bashes!  



There are birthday celebrations galore this Saturday to mark some amazing milestones for a few of our favorite Seacoast businesses! Head over to KidStrong in Stratham for their 1-Year Birthday party. Relief Parenting Respite and Resource Center is commemorating their 5th Birthday in Hampton. And last but not least, Children's Museum of NH in Dover is turning 40! All will include activities, refreshments and fun! CMNH Turns 40 - Sept 23rd, 9 am - 1 pm; Relief's 5th Birthday Party - Sept 23rd, 10 am - 11:30 am; KidStrong Birthday Bash - Sept 23rd, 12 pm - 4 pm.


4. Fall Festivals   



So many festivals this weekend to mark the start of fall! Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls is hosting their Autumn Equinox Festival with PYO apples and raspberries, cider donuts, live music and more. Over in Exeter at Swasey Park will be the 2023 Team Fall Equinox Fest with vendors, food trucks, and children's activities. At Olivia Allen Dance and Fitness in Greenland, the Fall Festival Tea & Dance Party will be happening, complete with stories, movement and treats. Autumn Equinox Festival - Sept 23rd, 11 am - 5 pm; 2023 Team Fall Equinox Fest - Sept 23rd, 11 am - 6 pm; Fall Festival Tea & Dance Party - Sept 23rd, 11:30 am - 1 pm


5. Fairy House Tour šŸ§š‍ā™€ļøšŸ§š



For the lovers of all things magical, the annual Fairy House Tour at Prescott Park Arts Festival is happening this weekend. Enjoy performances, food and fairy-inspired activities. Sept 23rd & 24th, 10 am - 3 pm
