Five Things to Do in the Seacoast This Weekend

Summer is kicking off in the Seacoast

It's time for summer festivals and the Seacoast has several taking place over the weekend. Another great fundraising walk is happening as well. There sure will be plenty to do over Father's Day weekend with the events here, but if you are looking for something a bit different, check out our local calendar and Father's Day Guide for some more ideas! Here are Macaroni KID Seacoast’s picks for five things to do with your family this weekend. 


1. Newington Summerfest 2023



Summerfest will be at the Mall at Fox Run in Newington for two weekends! Enjoy carnival games, rides, food, petting zoo and tons more fun! June 16th 6 pm -10 pm, June 17th & 18th 2 pm -10pm 


2. 41st Somersworth International Children's Festival



Somersworth is hosting its annual Children's Festival this weekend, with a kickoff Friday night consisting of a concert and fireworks. Saturday the festival takes place on Main Street and Noble Pines Park where street performers, exhibits, vendors, shows, food and more will be part of the celebration! June 16th 6 pm - 10 pm & June 17th 10 am - 4 pm 


3. Best Buddies Seacoast Friendship Walk



The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is a walk to support inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This noble event will be held at the Town House Commons in Exeter and will include music, food, kids fun zones and a whole lot more. June 17th 9 am - 1 pm 


4Durham Summerfest



This is the first Summerfest in Durham and is sure to be a fun family event. Food trucks, music, cornhole, bouncy house and vendors are part of some of the activities. June 17th 12 pm - 6 pm 


5. 2023 Father's Day Flop 



Sign Dad up for the Father's Day Flop competition at Water Country in Portsmouth! This event will be held at the Wave Pool. June 18th 1 pm
