School vacation is around the corner in New Hampshire and the Seacoast has several exciting events to get you outside and learning about nature, as well as keeping active this week! Here are Macaroni KID Seacoast's five picks for things to do in the Seacoast this week of Apr 20th - 26th.
1. Rescue Run for Marine Mammals
The Seacoast Science Center in Rye is hosting it's 13th annual Rescue Run, a 5K fundraising event to benefit their Marine Mammal Rescue Program. There is a race for adults and for kids, as well as kid's activities post-race. Apr 22nd 9 am
2. Baby Animals: Heritage Breeds at the Banke
Come and see the baby animals as you learn about Seacoast area domestic livestock at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth. An hour before and after the event there is also a Children's Program for kids to have a chance to meet the animals. Daily 10 am - 4 pm
3. Wildlife Encounters: Junior Zookeeper!
During April Vacation, Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham will have a visit from Wildlife Encounters! Meet and learn about some cool creatures and how to protect our planet to ensure their survival. Apr 24th 2pm - 3 pm
4. Family Yoga
Come to Harvey Mitchell Memorial Library in Epping for a morning of family fitness with some yoga.
5. Sing & Play en Français
Expose your children to basic French at this fun class for ages 18 months - 4 years old. This class is held at Relief Parenting and Respite Center in Hampton, where kids will learn french through singing and playing. Apr 26th 9:15 am - 10 am
